Nathan,
I'm GLAD you're participating in the RELAY FOR LIFE!
I've been Chairperson for our Relay for Life Team at the hospital I work at here in Concordia, KS the last 2 years. This year, I'm fighting my own personal battle with Stage 2 Infiltrating Duct Carcinoma. I started 2009 with chemo, had 4 rounds of chemo 3 weeks apart, with my last chemo 3.12.09. 3 weeks after that, I started my radiation treatments, every day 5 days a week for 8 weeks. I was only able to take 36 treatments as my skin started burning so I could not finish the last 2. The Radiation Oncologist told me that that was GOOD & that I was within "margin" for what I needed.
Gladly, I was released from her care as of yesterday. No more treatments (at this time, anyway : )! It's been a LONG 9 months since we found out about my cancer but I got through it a much stronger, patient & THANKFUL person/woman!
It's truly amazing & awesome to see all the luminairies, all the activities at Relay!
It is for a cure & I have faith one day there will be : ).

I'm glad you are participating, spreading the word!
