We live in a most exciting and challenging period in human history. As technology sweeps through every facet of our lives, changes are occurring so rapidly that it can be difficult for us to keep our lives in balance! It is essential that we plan for the future with our personal and family preparedness!
Let’s “Get NoiZ” for GOOD and become self-sufficient in these turbulent times!
Balance is another area that the Bible backs up and in fact goes to the point of laying out a diet in I belive it's in Joshua The Lord had Instructe him to have his men to eat stictly vegetables for a period of time as his men had become over-wieght from eating very well off the3 Kings food.down to Romans onward where it tw=ells how one ought to conduct their Lives
Self-sufficiency and Turbulant times : My grand-Mother Sophia Adeline Lloyd, in whom I was blessed in knowing , believed very much so in self-suffiency that she not only lived that life, but also taught her own children to do the same from the time they could understand forward and My Mother took the time to teach her children as well and I am a witness to that one as I watched my Mom coupon a store to such a degree that they actually paid my Mom 6o cents to walk out of the grocery store with her groceries my mom didn't have to pay a red cent that day.. My Grand-mother herself tatted, crocheted, embrioderied . quilted , gardened, canned and yes she even had a loom to weave her own clothe and rugs ( this however when re-flecting I re-call to have been a family effort as this loom was not small one) straight through the Depression without once having worried about loosing The Home in which my grand-Father John Kendrick Lloyd and herself along with their children, as she bordered out the spare rooms in their home and provided a warm Meal for any Father at that time that was Traveling from town to town who came to her door and relayed that they're hungry, as it was my Grand-Parents firm belief that *The Lord helps those who choose to help others who are in need of help *. This was also a firm belief of my own Mother as well as she teaching her own children to do the same * I infact have done well enough that during this ( okay their trying to soften it Their recession) Our Depression during these turbulant times that I can carry on my Grand-mothers ways as a Tradition for my Food Pantry ( An LDS Taught pantry)HA! I remember while being able to go to the LDS church some where in the early 90's that There was another great depression coming and that an LDS person should have a well stocked Pantry, well having taken this to heart as it is apart of my up-bringing as well ~ I have been so successful that when some one comes to my Door in need I gladly open up this pantry to them with a couple of groceries in hand and a full Belly on the way out. I am a firm advocate in learning from your elders and have always taken that to heart Thank you for my Daily inspiration Alan, It's been a blast re-flecting on wonderful times this morning talk to you Later .
