Christmas isn’t perfect. It can’t be. Think about it….would perfect be having a baby in a damp, cold, manger surrounded with animals? The first Christmas wasn’t perfect except in the hearts of those that followed the star…so don’t stress out searching for perfect and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Continue

Bring new value to life
It's natural to be negative. But that doesn't mean you have to let negativity control your life.
It's normal to worry. But worry accomplishes nothing, and you have much better ways to use your time and your energy.
The situation you're in could get a lot worse. And yet, it is just as likely to get a lot better.
You don't know what the future will bring. So your best strategy is to make full and positive use of the present.
The way to do that is by allowing your positiv…

Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - why, no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down t…

Tonight my son will be steepping down as Master Councillor of Fidelity Chapter DeMolay. He did a great job even though there were not many boys attending meetings. He and his sister will present a check tonight in the amount of $1,100 to go to Juvenile Diabetes. I am so proud of the fundraiser they held in August. They decided to do this together since they were both the top officer in their organizations. I pray that Jason has a great year and that they can turn things around. DeMolay is a very…

It is an amazing time to live! There are so many things that bless our lives. As a mom, of course the washing machine and dryer, indoor plumbing, dishwashers. I have a child with special needs. I have had health problems. So the ability to learn, improve, and gain knowledge is something I treasure. We have been blessed to live in a time and a place where all these things are available to us.
We see of the TV children in other nations being indoctrinated. We see other nations discriminating and…

Broke Is not Broken - Being broke is not the same as being broken, losing money is not the same as being lost, and finding your balance is not something you can do on a balance sheet.
Having Less Doesn’t Mean You Are Less - Don’t confuse having less with being less, having more with being more, or what you have with who you are.
Savor Life and Slow Down - When you’re in a hurry, go slowly. The faster you go in life the sooner it is a blur.
Prayer Creates a New Path - Prayer creates a path…

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE by Maya Angelou
A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE....
enough money within her control to move out
and rent a place of her own,
even if she never wants to or needs to...
something perfect to wear if the employer,
or date of her dreams wants to see her in an hour...
A WOM…

Staying the Course
By BJ Gallagher
Our journey of life is about progress,
not perfection.
It's not about doing one thing
100% better -
it's a matter of doing 100 things,
1% better each day.
Progress is evolutionary
not revolutionary,
and most days we measure our progress
in inches,
not miles.
What matters most
is showing up for your life
whether you feel like it
or not.
Ask yourself,
"What two or three little things
can I do today
that would move me forward?"
You'll be amazed
at how much…

Good Morning, God by Vincent Marquis, as it appears in the book Lift Up Your Hearts by Mauryeen O'Brien
Good Morning, God.
You are ushering in another day,
Untouched and freshly new,
So here I come to ask you, God,
If you'll renew me too.
Forgive the many errors
That I made yesterday
And let me try again, dear God,
To walk closer in your way.
But, Father, I am well aware
I can't make it on my own,
So take my hand and hold it tight,
For I cannot walk alone. Continue

There is always something positive that you can do. On the best of days, or in the most challenging of circumstances, you can choose to move forward.
Conditions are not as bad as they seem, nor are conditions as good as they appear. Conditions are whatever you choose to make of them.
It's up to you to take the energy of this day and give it a specific direction. Though circumstances are constantly changing, you can always choose to move in the direction of your dreams.
Of course there are…

Well school starts on Thursday for my daughter Kim. She is going into her Sophomore year. I pray she has a better year than last year. Sad that summer is ending but Fall is always a time for change and I feel ready for a change. Time to get back on track with my diet and cleaning the house and getting out and walking so I can get my pain level with my back down to a minimum. My daughter will finish up her year as Worthy Advisor in Sept. and will be able to relax and not be in charge of everythin…

While I was doing my Doctoral dissertation, I had some questions constantly in my mind. “How would I complete my dissertation paper?”; “Will I be able to write my
PhD dissertation?”; “Will Dissertation writing be easy for me or not?”, all these questions always lingered in my mind.
And it was really a nightmare when I started writing my
doctoral dissertation. I obviously tried to utilize every poss…

The process of creating a proper research paper is tough work. It requires you to develop a firm understanding of a topic you've in many cases never heard of and then form a thesis which you must support with your research. The key I found to smoothly writing a research paper is to research properly.
A
college research paper is a piece of academic writing that requires a more abstract, critical, and thoughtful level of inquiry than you might…

The most common writing requirement in upper-division courses is the term paper. The importance of the term paper tends to be neglected. Why is a term paper so important? The main reason is that it will make up a big part of your final grade. You might be deceived as to its importance because most teachers will not give much class discussion time to these papers. When your instructor does not give you detailed instructions for your
term paper writing…

You need to be very cautious when selecting a
resume writing service as anybody can put up a sign that they write resumes. In fact 1 company that secretly positions itself “#1” really sends the resumes abroad to be produced and produces very awful broken English resumes. Other companies providing
resume help deliver nothing more than a prettier format of what you have.
So here’s how the indus…
