Alan, thank you for posting this. As a 20-year retired United States Navy veteran I know first hand that freedom is not free and that there are many unsung heroes who dedicate their lives to ensure that we remain "The home of the free, and the land of the brave". I am an American and proud of it. Having literally traveled both sides of the world in my young almost 51 years, I take nothing for granted as I see and have seen and experienced how little some others have as compared to what we have as Americans. I echo Nathan's sentiments "United we do stand, divided we shall fall". This is OUR country, America, blessed by God up above. I love America!!

When I was a young boy living in the Philippines (Clark Air Base), I remember my house girl asking me what it was like to be an American and to be free. Not a day goes by in my life where I don't sit back and reflect upon that question. As a retired Air Force Officer and a man who has seen the world, I am very proud to be an American! In my search for the true Church, it was my patriotism that allowed me to understand that American is a blessed nation and that Heavenly Father has chosen this land to be the land we call Zion! Like in the story of David & Goliath, David was the youngest of 7 brothers and he went out to slueth Goliath and the United States is the youngest Country (7 Continents) in the World and yet US has set a path to fight Communism and the oppression throughout the world. I love my Heavenly Father and I love my friend Alan Osmond for all the things he stands for in his life. America is me and my friends, I am America!
